The Safeguarding Children and Adult’s both offer a programme of safeguarding training.

All of our training is multi-agency and is offered free of charge to any member of the children’s or adults workforce. Attendance at safeguarding training will help ensure all professionals are competent and confident to deliver effective services to safeguard children, young people and adults at risk. Multi-agency training helps to improve your knowledge of safeguarding issues, including child protection processes. It also aims to improve communication and promote better decision-making.

“Research has shown that inter-agency training is highly effective in helping professionals understand their respective roles and responsibilities, the procedures of each agency involved in safeguarding children and in developing a shared understanding of assessment and decision-making practices. Further the opportunity to learn together is highly valued; participants report increased confidence in working with colleagues from other agencies and greater mutual respect”.
