National Safeguarding Adults Week
Safeguarding Adults Awareness week took place recently across Merseyside from Monday 18th November. Members of the community bravely came forward to relate their stories and experiences during the Tony Snell breakfast show on Radio Merseyside, supported by members of the Merseyside Safeguarding Adults Board. Staff and volunteers were out and about in public areas across Merseyside, helping to raise awareness of adult safeguarding issues and answering questions. In addition, professionals and practitioners took part in a number of symposiums across the county designed to improve knowledge and practice in relation to a number of local issues, such as domestic abuse, financial crime and hoarding, amongst other issues.
